  1. My girlfriend & I used to stomp away to the beachies down the coast. What fun we had. Did catch up with Tom & Owen playing in a band @ Southport RSL not sure 80’s or 90’s got a photo with them & their wives. Saw Paul around same time Barry is the dark horse. Love you guys.

    1. Barry was my pop and unfortunately I never got to get to know him and it’s great to see pictures of him when he was younger and in bands.
      It’s great to know that their music blight enjoyment to people.

Tom Kerr is on this fb site he played with your Pop so would be able to tell you lots. I only found out last week he was up in heaven with some of our best muso’s and I was very sad.       2. Barry was my uncle, he passed away a couple of years ago now. I am trying to track down their record but I don’t know the name of it, my mum Carol, Barry’s sister would love to have it.

  2. First band I ever saw – Peter’s Playland Tallebudgera (open air tourist venue later redeveloped as the Playroom) probably 1964 – remembered the band’s name all this time – must have made a big impression on a 6 year old brought up on 4QG.

  3. Robin Kemp was vocals only…and Barry and myself also did some vocals….the photo is The Beachies #3, the original Beachies were Dave…Don ….Barry and Tom in 1962 ..

  4. I was in a band with barry in ipswich called lady and the outlaws early 80’s.a realy top bloke.sad to hear of his passing.
